Process Audit
| Service
Description: The ABS
Process Audit is a survey of the production process to
identify, quantify and characterize all significant sources
of wastewater. |
| |
| Features:
Unlike other
wastewater surveys, ABS examines the impact of
production schedules on the variance of waste stream
characteristics. Using Pareto type analysis, ABS can
identify problems with particular production runs or
operations. Characterization and analysis is tailored to the
clients needs, but typically includes: |
• Organic load
• Solids load
• pH
• Toxicity
Benefits: This
information can be used to implement waste
minimization programs or evaluate the impact of waste
stream variance on downstream clean-up processes. The ABS
Process Audit has many benefits including, identifying
sources of wastewater which can be:
1) Segregated at source to reduce
downstream operating costs.
2) Treated at source more
cost-effectively.
3) Inhibiting the performance of the
biological waste treatment.
4) Reused, recycled and/or recovered.
